Kirtan & Dances of Universal Peace with Radiant Friend


Join Radiant Friend for call-and-response chanting, a practice that unites us with our highest selves. We will repeat mantras--words, syllables, phrases--to quiet our minds and allow the integration of the meaning of the mantras into our consciousness.


No musical experience necessary. Sing, listen, dance, recline or meditate to the chants with the accompaniment of harmonium, tabla and other percussion, flute, cello, banjo and guitar.

Radiant Friend is a multi-instrumental Kirtan band that has been active in the Sacramento area since 2010. Our hope is to introduce as many people as possible to the heart practice of chanting through Kirtan and the Dances of Universal Peace.

Restorative Yoga to Ease Seasonal Transitions

The body renews and restores when it is at rest and a perfect time to practice this is at the seasonal shifts. We'll use Restorative Yoga to help us learn to live in harmony with the seasons and to balance the busy-ness of life with support, deep breathing and presence. Adapting to a new time of year begins before the season change and we can meet it by shifting activities and interests toward things that are natural balances for the time. Give yourself the gift of surrender, vision, inner reflection and intention.

Restorative Yoga uses blankets, blocks and other props to fully support the body in deep rest. It is appropriate for all, including those with challenges or injuries. No experience necessary.
